This is Dottie, she is a Snowy Owl, and she enjoys snowball fights, and the smell of Pine-sol.

This mini quilt measures approx. 8.5"x10.5". Dottie is constructed from black and white dot fabric. She lives in a sky of light blue fabric with medium blue vines, and sits on a grey rock with drifts of swirly white snow. The mini quilt is bound with black & white polka dot fabric, and backed with black fabric with white vines. Dottie's eyes are black buttons, hand-stitched on. She is free motion quilted with scallops, zig-zags, and lines to define all her parts, and give a hint of feathers.
This mini quilt comes packaged in a cello bag with care instructions, ready for gifting (or as a gift for yourself!).
In constructing my mini quilts, I use only the best 100% cotton quilt-store quality fabrics, and 100% cotton batting and thread, so that this piece can be enjoyed for many generations to come. I recommend that this be used for display only, like any piece of art. If, however, it gets dirty and needs to be washed, use a mild detergent and hand/delicate wash. Air dry, and then press with the iron on the cotton setting.
This could be framed, put into a shadow box, or hung on the wall from quilt hangers.
